The Fortnightly: April 12th – April 24th
April 12, 2011
Hello, and welcome to the IWTAS FORTNIGHTLY. April is heating up and there are definitely some hot shows in St. Louis over the next two weeks. Julie’s top pick of the fortnightly is a two-way tie, but both shows are at The Firebird and both shows will be pretty fantastic, for very different reasons. On the 21st, a Thursday, Vivian Girls and Black Lips are sure to kick up a frothing ruckus. If you like LOUD and ROWDY, you won’t want to miss this show.
But no shame in your game if your speed runs a little slower with less potential for involuntary exchange of bodily fluid (spit and sweat, don’t be dirty). You should definitely do yourself a solid and go see The Freelance Whales, The Naked and the Famous, and The Foals on Saturday the 23rd. Sold out, g-dog! You already heard! You might remember the last time The Whales were in town at Off Broadway, last June, This will be an outstanding night of multi-instrumental bliss. See you at one or the other, or both!
