When we talked to Bo and the Locomotive over pizza at Riley’s Pub a year and a half ago, the band was a rambunctious trio born of a mid-fi solo project, working to develop a following in St. Louis and beyond. Since then, B&tL has added a member (Evan O’Neal of Pretty Little Empire and The Skekses), been on multiple tours, earned  a big snuggle from Paste, and secured itself as one of our city’s foremost bands. Aside from all that, the guys are just plain fun to see live.

Bo and the Locomotive: Just some silly guys with some serious talent.

On Friday at Off Broadway, Bo and Co. team up with Water Liars to raise money for their respective tours. Fifty percent-local duo Water Liars will be away from St. Louis for six months as they play all over the country. Bo and the Locomotive have an exciting summer planned as they will be recording a Daytrotter session, playing Bunbury in Ohio, and preparing a new album.
