PHOTOS: Blitzen Trapper w/ Bear Hive at Old Rock House
September 20, 2013
On Wednesday, Blitzen Trapper returned to St. Louis after a couple years of absence and opened up a can of Rocky Mountain Whoop Ass right there on Old Rock House’s stage. The set was long and varied, and featured older hits like a sing-a-long version of “Furr” as we leaned into the end of the evening. The band also peppered the set with new songs from their September 20th release, VII (“Thirsty Man” was especially great live). We hope BR had as much fun as we did; come back soon, guys!
Also, local opener Bear Hive started things off right and announced that they’d be releasing an album in the near future. Until then, check out Bear Hive’s LISTEN video from the STL-PD or enjoy their EP here.

* My apologies to Blitzen Trapper drummer and all-around nice guy Brian Koch, who isn’t featured in these pics because, at 5’2″, I was unable to get to him and his kit where they were onstage. Aside from being a great musician, he likes our Arch.
