#STLSOTD: Friday, September 26th – Middle Class Fashion’s “Yr Wrong”
September 26, 2014
#STLSOTD is an I Went to a Show.com Monday-Friday feature that introduces followers to St. Louis music by spotlighting one track by one artist or band from IWTAS’ Bandcamp Directory of St. Louis Music. As always, we welcome your suggestions. If we pick the song you share with us on Twitter, Facebook, or in the comments section of this post, we’ll make sure to give you a shout out.
Tonight, Middle Class Fashion – St. Louis’ premier piano pop powerhouse – takes to the Off Broadway stage around 9:00pm in support of the snappily dressed, full-on feelings rock band that is Jon Hardy and the Public. It’s been said that this particular set will reveal four new MCF jams, though if you’re like me, you still haven’t gotten over the band’s ravishing 2013 effort, Jungle. It’s from that full-length release that today’s STLSOTD comes; it’s a fan favorite from Middle Class Fashion’s live shows, and it’s called “Yr Wrong”.
Equal parts brusque and lively, good luck getting “Yr Wrong” outta yr head:
Details for tonight’s release show here.
P.S. There are MANY musical options available for your enjoyment tonight: The St. Louis Folk and Roots Festival in Grand Center, Year 8(!) of An Under Cover Weekend at The Firebird, and Astronautalis + Sarah Jaffe at The Duck Room to start.
