[GIVEAWAY] Win a Pair of Tickets to Beth Bombara’s Album Release Show!
June 25, 2015
In an independent music landscape that feels increasingly diluted and cynical, it’s nice to have a “good guy” to cheer on. Beth Bombara and her hard-nosed crew are one such band of good guys (and are based in St. Louis no less).
[l to r] JJ Hamon, Kit Hamon, and Beth Bombara
On Saturday they celebrate the release of Bombara’s latest piece of work, a self-titled full-length that showcases not only the group’s instrumental creativity and precision but also explores the ‘Midwestern artist’s journey’ trope. It’s a record that presents spectacular highs and isolating lows, the joys of collaboration and the struggle to live an art-centered life.
Most of these new songs have yet to be played in full-band format live and in-person so the album release party at Off Broadway should be a damn treat. This show will also feature River Kittens and The Loot Rock Gang (and a food truck…and beer specials from 4 Hands…and a photo booth!). Lucky for you, we have a pair of tickets to give away! Leave a comment below telling us your favorite Beth Bombara song or memory. We’ll choose a winner on Friday afternoon. Good luck!

I have a copy of wish I were you for a record player, but my favorite song will be whatever gets this night started.
I will be getting her new album that night! Can’t wait to hear the entire album.
My favorite song is Mountain Sun off of Raise Your Flag.
Gimme those tix. :)
Favorite song is All Along from Raise Your Flag. The clear vinyl was a fun extra.
Might help if I read directions and post things in the correct place!
I recall fondly having Beth and band play at the Whitaker Music Festival in 2013. Over 10,000 people came out to see her. One of my favorite shows ever ever ever ever. It was one day after Raise Your Flag was released, and getting to hear her great new material along with everything that made me become a fan in the first place was pretty dang cool. It’d be great to see her at Off Broadway along with soon-to-be Whitaker performers, The Loot Rock Gang!
