Zach Sullentrup‘s new album Debt Sounds filled the Duck Room at Blueberry Hill on Saturday, June 3rd, with the help of Zach’s band, His Terrible 20’s (some of whom you may recognize from Tidal Volume). The record resonates with themes of depression and anxiety, but Sullentrup approaches the roller coaster that is one’s 20’s with quick wit. While the main themes of Debt Sounds hit heavy, also present are whimsical tunes that lighten the mood. “Hipster Fight Song” is honest, pure, and funny; and it rings true. I always enjoy seeing Zach perform and that Saturday night was no exception. Photo evidence below:
