[PREMIER] Joan of Dark Rejects Your Shade with New Single, “Evil Eye”
June 15, 2017
Since their debut show at CBGB on a Sunday night in February 2016, St. Louis music fans have anxiously awaited recorded work from Joan of Dark. The rock n’ roll supergroup was formed by Ellen Herget (vox/guitar) and is buttressed by scene vets Natalie Huggins (guitar), Kristin Dennis (drums), and Jenny Roques (bass).
The band’s first single is “Evil Eye,” a smart, snarky tune recorded at Native Sound. It was engineered by Will Godfred, mixed by David Beeman, and mastered by Ben Majchrzak.
And get this: Joan of Dark has partnered with STL button queens Butt’n Booty to create a unique piece of merch in conjunction with the “Evil Eye” release. Purchase a set of JOD buttons, get a download code for the song. Local bands: More cool collabs, please!
