[PREMIER] New Tracks from Langen Neubacher & Suzie Cue!
July 20, 2017
Langen Neubacher of The Defeated County and Suzie Cue
Tomorrow, two friends and STL musical collaborators will each take the stage to release their solo EPs at Off Broadway.
Langen Neubacher (The Defeated County) and Suzie Gilb (Suzie Cue) have made names for themselves in town as leading women of successful bands and memorable open mics night. Tomorrow, Neubacher will release Alone, and Gilb will share with us So It Goes.
Each of the gals has been kind enough to premier a song from their respective EPs, so you can get a taste of the new stuff before you help us fill the room at Off Broadway.
First, check out “See Me Coming”, Neubacher’s scrutiny of attraction and coupling that bites lyrically, but is softened by restrained vocals and a wistful melody:

Suzie Cue’s powerful, ghostly “Going Down” wrestles with the turbulence of a floundering relationship and employs nautical metaphor. “Why oh why did I trust the ocean…” she ponders as her ship sinks:

There will be much to enjoy tomorrow at this double release show. Neubacher will be joined by her band, The Defeated County, for part of her set, and Gilb has gathered together a band to fill out songs from her EP. Whoa Thunder‘s Brian McClelland will provide support with a solo performance to start off the night. Speaking from experience, there are few better ways for local music fans to spend a Friday night than at South City’s best (air-conditioned) music venue listening to three local acts, surrounded by buds. We hope to see you out there. Show details below:
