Tulsa garage rockers BRONCHO don’t strike me as time wasters. Their 2010 introductory performance clocked in at a mere 15 minutes, the guys having torn through 6 entire songs. And that’s what we get when we listen to BRONCHO: a quick kick to the head and that residual, cathartic ear-ringing. Their debut album, Can’t Get Past the Lips, echoes the the band’s major influence – raucous 70s and 80s punk – but it’s ultimately a memorable burner that’ll appeal to anyone bold enough the light the fuse. (I mean, even NPR digs ’em.)
