This is the impossible contest…too many amazing lyrics. I think I post different ones on each SM page :-)
so we’ll sit side by side and we’ll stare
hating that we share the same air
there’s no room for speaking
and nothing will ever be said
My friends call me a One Track Pony – chiefly because I have an OCD behavior when it comes to playing songsover and over and over again. And over. Again.
It gives me great pleasure to welcome Old Lights into the elite one-track playbacks of yours truly, The One Track Pony.
Not too long ago, that I listened to this sound that Dave Beeman and Co of Old Lights threw down, literally for 3 straight days …in the produce aisle at Schnucks, on the treadmill at the gym, brushing my teeth, dodging jaywalkers in my car on Kingshighway, conference calls. Sometimes late at night I couldn’t sleep, so I’d take a walk, and play this track repeatedly, trying to make my stride as epic as the droning drippy rhythms of Beeman’s voice.
Well, that wasn’t even enough. I needed to share it, I mean, other people had to know how great this song was. So I burned a copy for Beth, Jamie D, and even my sister Alicia who lives in Paris, a city lacking in Midwestern representation. Looking forward to the show, nevertheless.

I’m just gonna have to tell you like it is
I aint ever gonna sleep alone again
I don’t wanna keep missin’ you
