#STLSOTD: Friday, May 30th – Other People’s “I Don’t Mind”
May 30, 2014
#STLSOTD is a Monday-Friday feature that introduces followers to St. Louis music by spotlighting one track by one artist or band from IWTAS’ Bandcamp Directory of St. Louis Music. As always, we welcome your suggestions. If we pick the song you share with us on Twitter, Facebook, or in the comments section of this post, we’ll make sure to give you a shout out.
Bob McMahon has been a staple in the St. Louis music scene for a while now. He’s a steadfast partisan at local shows and a contributor to multiple projects around town. Now McMahon and his band mates are workin’ for themselves, releasing a debut album from their rock/pop outfit, Other People. “I Don’t Mind”, a track that the band has released to preview the record, called Hell Is…Other People, is just over 2 minutes of passive aggressive, fatalistic fun. Check it out below:
Other People is Bob McMahon, Jeremy Goldmeier, and A.J. Lane. They play TONIGHT at The Heavy Anchor (objectively one of the city’s most fun bar/venue combos…so many activities!) with The Defeated County, Prune, and Lights Out Loser.
