#STLSOTD: Thursday, May 22nd – Tok’s “Cult Hero”
May 22, 2014
#STLSOTD is an I Went to a Show.com Monday-Friday feature that introduces followers to St. Louis music by spotlighting one track by one artist or band from IWTAS’ Bandcamp Directory of St. Louis Music. As always, we welcome your suggestions. If we pick the song you share with us on Twitter, Facebook, or in the comments section of this post, we’ll make sure to give you a shout out.
Local band Tok is led by two very hard-rockin’ and very funny dudes, Matt and Bryan (aka The Head and the Hair?). The guys have been in-studio as of late working on their next release, but in the meantime you can enjoy any of the three volume set of Gold Dollar Hen House EPs, which are real good for partying if that’s what you’re into. We picked “Cult Hero” from GDHHIII for today’s STLSOTD. Enjoy!
Tok is Bryan Basler and Matt Basler. They play this Saturday at Schlafly Tap Room with Aquitaine and Kadu Flyer. Tip of the hat to Aquitaine ambassador extraordinaire Dave Collett for reminding me about the show and the SOTD suggestion.
