When we cold-called (emailed) LA’s Emperor X  (aka Chad Matheny) after noticing that there was a St. Louis-sized hole in his summer tour schedule, here was the first line of his response: “St. Louis has a very special place in my heart.” 

Well, that was all we needed to know. And we got to work.

We ended up with this: a Wednesday evening house show at the end of June featuring Emperor X, Cassie Morgan, and Ryan Wasoba. What an absolute treat.

The four of us who run IWTAS are very grateful that these three fine musicians and humans will share a bill for a show at our place.
