[PREVIEW] Mr. Gnome w/ Young Tongue + Whoa Thunder at The Firebird

Mr. Gnome, bonafide “magical duo” out of Cleveland, OH, will take to the Firebird stage in, like, 9 hours to share with St. Louis, among other wonderful things, songs from their forthcoming new album, The Heart of a Dark Star. It’s set to be released on November 18th, but you can stream this dynamic, gorgeous record at NPR Music right now.

Mr GnomeNicole Barille and Sam Meister, or Mr. Gnome, play the Firebird tonight.

Arrive on time to catch opener Young Tongue, an intriguing progressive indie rock act from Austin. Just this week they put out their debut full-length, Death Rattle. “Heavy Metal Thunder” is a real standout:

The cherry on top of this awesome Friday night song sundae is STL’s own Whoa Thunder, Brian McClelland‘s emerging pop project.

Doors open at 7 tonight, and there will be tickets available at the door. Facebook official details here.
