[PREVIEW] FIRE DOG Celebrates 10 Years on Sunday Off Broadway

For a decade now, FIRE DOG‘s warm, inclusive pop music has delighted St. Louis music fans from all walks of life. Last year, the trio of Mark Pagano, Celia Shacklett, and Mike Schurk released For the Kids — a fun, tot-focused album that represented a new chapter in the veteran band’s story. FIRE DOG knows how to rock, but the band has managed a stage and brand presence over the years that’s as welcoming and harmonic as its songs.

So it should come as no surprise that for the group’s big birthday party, they’ve curated a full evening of performances that celebrate not only their own work, but that of FD’s friends and family:

  • Bring the kiddos out early for a 6 pm performance by FIRE DOG. Stay for a short film and musical set from Rats & People at 7.
  • By 8 pm, the stage will be set for Androbeat. The album is forthcoming but get a taste of this emerging local act’s funky folk here.
  • FIRE DOG hops back up there at 9, this time with live visuals crafted by VJ Evil Che and Indie Lou. Sights and sounds galore.
  • But wait — there’s more! After FD’s late set, DJ MAKossa will close out the evening with a dance party.

Still need to get acquainted with FIRE DOG, even after all these years? No problem. Check out their brand new intro video and song, “It’s FIRE DOG!”:
