[PREMIER] Bo and the Locomotive Releases New Single, “Mistakes”

Now that there’s a show on the calendar and new music to share, we can breathe a collective sigh of relief: Bo and the Locomotive is back!

Vintage BATL (Off Broadway, 2013)

“We’re still writing and recording what will be our next full-length album,” Bo Bulawsky tells me via email. One of St. Louis’ favorite bedroom pop projects, BATL is returning to its roots by recording and producing this third effort on their own. The yet-to-be named new record follows early 2015’s lovely, swelling It’s All Down Here From Here.

Well, won’t this be fun?

‘Meticulous’ is now the name of the game for a seasoned lineup of musicians that includes Bulawsky (vox/guitar), James Kane (keys/guitar), Andy Arato (bass), and Steven Colbert (drums). Sure, almost a dozen tracks are written and recorded, but the guys are taking their time, “…weeding through them all and picking the best ones…Things are constantly changing right now,” Bulawsky explains.

The band will make their triumphant return to the stage next Friday with intrepid power pop outfit Whoa Thunder and fresh supergroup trio Necessities. Until then, check out one of the brand new BATL tracks, premiering exclusively here on IWTAS:
