A Good Song for a Good Cause: Beth Bombara and Seth Porter’s “Gray Christmas”

Well isn’t this nice. IWTAS stalwarts Beth Bombara and Seth Porter (Essential Knots) collaborated with bandmates Kit Hamon and Samuel Gregg to record Seth’s brand new holiday song, “Gray Christmas.”

The pair just released the delightfully Midwestern tune on Bandcamp, and the warm fuzzy thing is that Bombara and Porter are donating all of the proceeds to Guardian Angel Settlement Association. GASA provides vital services to our St. Louis city neighbors living in poverty. The organization offers childcare programs, independent living counseling, utility payment assistance, and much more. Economic disparities are felt most deeply during the cold, gray winter months. And going without during the holiday season can be especially tough on families in need.

So, generous music fans of St. Louis – download “Gray Christmas” from Beth’s Bandcamp page and be assured that your donation, however small or large, will be one with purpose and meaning.

Happy holidays.
