#STLSOTD: Friday, June 6th – The Maness Brothers’ “Let It Roll (Into the River)”

#STLSOTD is an I Went to a Show.com Monday-Friday feature that introduces followers to St. Louis music by spotlighting one track by one artist or band from IWTAS’ Bandcamp Directory of St. Louis Music.  As always, we welcome your suggestions. If we pick the song you share with us on TwitterFacebook, or in the comments section of this post, we’ll make sure to give you a shout out.

Underneath the luscious locks of “Midwest mud” duo The Maness Brothers are the bright musical minds of two young dudes making some deliciously sludgy rock in the St. Louis region. Torch carriers for The Whiskey War Festival, 2014 RFT Music Award Nominees, and recent Daytrotter alums, these real-life siblings are poised to make 2014 a banner year.

Today’s St. Louis Song of the Day, “Let It Roll (Into the River)”, is just a ton of Gateway City fun. It comes from The Maness Brothers’ late 2012 EP, Grief Factory:

The Maness Brothers are David and Jake Maness. They perform tomorrow at 7:00pm at O’Shay’s Pub in the Grove as part of the 2014 RFT Music Showcase.
